Dats not stand for Singapore....
But... Its stand for "19"... Wanna nOe why??...
Lets count from alphabet den number...
a=1 b=2 c=3 d=4 e=5 f=6 g=7 h=8 i=9 j=10
k=11 l=12 m=13 n=14 o=15 p=16 q=17 r=18
and S=19....
Example: S9009926D...
S=19 which i was born on 1990...

And wat i found out now is dat...
Ppl who born on 2000 and > ....
Their NRIC number start from "T" instead of "S"
which "T" = 20 .....
